: Farmers in East Garo Hills have been urged to adopt scientific cultivation techniques to enhance productivity and tackle field challenges.

This was emphasised during a stakeholders’ meeting organized by the District Horticulture Office in collaboration with ICAR–Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasaragod, Kerala, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), East Garo Hills.

The programme featured technical sessions on good agricultural practices in arecanut and cocoa cultivation, integrated pest and disease management, and sustainable production methods.

More than 100 farmers attended the training, which aimed to bridge the gap between traditional farming wisdom and modern scientific approaches.
