Mayor Sandy Stimpson ran for office 12 years ago after feeling his hometown was fractured and on the wrong path. Looking back on his three terms in Government Plaza and forward to his retirement, Stimpson said his “One Mobile” vision propelled the city into an all-around better position.
Next week, Stimpson will step down from the helm of the Port City’s government, more than one year after he announced, in September 2024, that he would not run for a fourth term.
