A cloud-seeding trial scheduled for Wednesday (October 29, 2025) in the Capital has been put on hold due to insufficient moisture in the clouds, sources in the Delhi government told The Hindu .
A statement released by the Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (IIT-K) on Wednesday (October 29) also confirmed the same and stated that the the process is highly dependent on the right atmospheric conditions.
Rainfall could not be triggered as moisture levels were around 15 to 20%, IIT Kanpur said. However, the Institute added that the trial delivered “valuable insights”.
