A Macon 87-year-old went to a meeting and didn't come back. Now, BSO is asking for your help finding her

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Mattie Brooks has since been found and is safe. They say she has been removed from the NCIC as a missing person.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a missing 87-year-old woman.

According to a press release, the sheriff's office says 87-year-old Mattie Brooks left her home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. to go to a meeting. But, hours later, she had not returned.

She was last seen driving her white Cadillac CTS with Georgia tag PD08C3, but they don't know what direction she was traveling.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says Brooks was last seen wearing a gray jumpsuit. She's about 5'2 with gray hair and brown eyes.
