WEST FARGO — Across roughly four months worth of pop-up pantries this year, West Fargo Eats distributed nearly 41,000 pounds of food, feeding almost 4,000 people.
West Fargo Eats held monthly pop-up food pantries May through October in West Fargo at the Lutheran Church of the Cross parking lot, allowing families and individuals in need to drive up to the pantry and collect food from a refrigerated truck.
West Fargo Eats Director Chelsie Bormann said the pantry pop-ups distributed 40,933 pounds of food, serving 1,353 families, or 3,971 individuals. Of those individuals, 784 were seniors, 1,310 were children and 1,877 were adults.
Bormann said the numbers are in line previous years.
