United States President Donald Trump has declared Anthony Albanese did "a fantastic job" by securing a critical minerals deal with his administration as he lavished praised on the Prime Minister during a dinner with world leaders.
Mr Albanese announced the $13 billion deal alongside the President during the pair's first face-to-face meeting in Washington DC last week.
The two leaders met again on Wednesday evening at the APEC summit in South Korea, as they took part in a dinner alongside their counterparts from the host nation, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Sitting at President Trump's right hand, Mr Albanese became the subject of unexpected praise after the US leader thanked South Korean President Lee Jae-myung for his hospitality.
