One of the victims of the Manchester synagogue attack died from a single gunshot wound, and the other from multiple stab wounds, an inquest has heard.

Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, were killed in the attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Synagogue in Crumpsall on 2 October.

Mr Daulby, a member of the congregation, was shot accidentally when police opened fire on attacker Jihad al Shamie.

Mr Cravitz, who was a worshipper at the synagogue who police originally stated was a security guard, was stabbed to death by al Shamie.

Police shot the attacker dead seven minutes after the first emergency call as they feared he was wearing an explosive device - later identified as a fake.
