PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Look for a sunny but breezy day in the Valley. Temperatures will climb to 91 degrees this afternoon, which is 7 degrees above average for this time of year in Phoenix. It’s 5 degrees shy of a record.
A weak cold front has stalled out over Arizona this morning. This will bring breezy to locally windy conditions across parts of the state through about midday. In the Valley, look for easterly winds between 10 and 20 mph, gusting to 30 mph. Stronger winds are possible in the high country. There is a Wind Advisory in effect for the higher elevations east of the Valley until noon today for gusts to 45 mph.
Winds are expected to be strongest in the high country along and south of the Mogollon Rim. Where the winds are lighter, the first freeze of the season was expected ove
