NEW YORK (WBNG) -- A new study confirms that naloxone, also known as Narcan, is an evidence-based, cost-effective way to prevent overdose deaths.
Published in the Journal of Public Health Management & Practice, the study found that naloxone is highly effective at reversing overdoses while delivering significant public health benefits.
Co-author of the study and State Health Commissioner, Dr. James McDonald, said naloxone saves lives and has a big impact on public health as a whole.
