Solidarity is a word often used by union leaders. It’s plastered on placards. But, it’s almost become a cliche, a term that’s become so overused that it becomes meaningless — like when a sportscaster drops the word “unbelievable” to describe something that is wholly believable.
But that word is regaining its meaning this week, at least in Alberta and, indeed, maybe across Canada.
