(WJW) - Taco Dinner Kits, sold in Ohio and more than two dozen other states, are being recalled over a seasoning packet mix-up.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall was initiated after Teasdale Foods, Inc. received consumer complaints that the Taco Dinner Kits contained cocoa mix packets instead of taco seasoning packets. The mix-up is a cause for concern due to the cocoa mix packets containing milk, which the FDA said were not properly listed as an allergen.
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products," stated the FDA.
