BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Gov. Jeff Landry, joined by lawmakers, will talk about SNAP benefits in Louisiana amid the federal government shutdown Wednesday afternoon.
The governor's press conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Louisiana lawmakers are considering a resolution that would allow the head of the Louisiana Department of Health to take action and use funds up to $150 million per month for SNAP benefits. The measure heads to the Senate Wednesday after it was approved unanimously in the House on Friday.
