PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- An upcoming day of hands-on activities, expert advice and inspiration is coming to the Oregon State Fairgrounds.

The Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington will host their annual STEM Day on November 8th, inviting families to explore science, technology, engineering and math through activities crafted by professional engineers, scientists, veterinarians and more.

Girl Scouts CEO Shannon Evers, project engineer for Ballard Marine Construction Emma Hausafus, field engineer Geneva Newell and current Girl Scout Norah Brown joined us on AM Extra to tell us what they hope to inspire on STEM Day.
