Multiple parked cars were damaged when part of a tree snapped in the San Fernando Valley early Wednesday morning.
The collapse was reported around 2:30 a.m. on Sunnyslope Avenue in Sherman Oaks, which runs parallel to the Notre Dame High School football field.
Sky5 was over the scene at 7 a.m., where multiple cars had been struck by the tree, including one that appeared to have been badly damaged.
The toppled tree also took out some of the area's power lines.
The debris field could be seen across multiple front yards as a cleanup crew assessed the situation. It was unclear how long it would take to clear the road.
The cause of the collapse remains unknown, as officials did not initially believe it to be wind-related.
No injuries were reported.
