PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- The shared Parma Heights and Parma dog park is slated to open in the spring.
That’s why Parma Heights Animal Control Officer Miranda Braude -- who holds the same position with the Brooklyn police department -- didn’t waste any time recently presenting language updating the animals and fowl ordinance to include the operation of the future one-acre site at Reservoir Park.
“Brooklyn’s dog park recently opened,” she said.
“The language they passed for their enforcement code is the exact same language we’re pushing for here in Parma Heights.”
Some of the restrictions are basic, including dog park hours from 8 a.m. to dusk with a maximum of two dogs per handler.
There’s also the no-brainer variety, including cleaning up after canines and disposing of dog waste in the
