Ohio Department of Transportation contractor struck on highway

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) - An Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) contractor was struck on the side of the highway Tuesday morning.

The contractor was helping clear a crash scene on I-270 at Sawmill Road in Columbus before being hit.

There were no life-threatening injuries, according to ODOT.

ODOT said this is another reminder to move over, slow down and pay attention while on the road.

More than 85 ODOT workers have been hit this year.
