OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Actress Gabrielle Union was born here in Omaha on this day in 1972.
Her mother managed a phone company and her father was a military sergeant and business executive.
Union’s family moved to California when she was eight. She came back to Nebraska and attended UNL where she played soccer, then went back to California and graduated from UCLA.
Union was on her way to law school before her modeling and acting career took off. Union is best known for her roles in films like “The Brothers” and “Think Like a Man.”
She married Dwyane Wade in 2014.
In 2019, she appeared on “College GameDay” when they came to Lincoln for the Nebraska-Ohio State game that year.
