A 20-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 138 in Easton early Wednesday morning, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn III said.
A 911 caller reported the crash on Route 138 just past the Raynham town line to Easton Police around 1:04 a.m. Tuesday, Quinn’s office said in a statement. When first responders arrived, they found a blue Tesla with “significant damage” in a wooded area roughly 20 feet from the southbound lane.
The car was actively burning when first responders arrived. They found human remains in the back seat of the car, Quinn’s office said.
First responders put out the fire, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody of the man’s remains. His name was not immediately released, pending notification of his family.
