MEMPHIS, Tenn. - More Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) students will soon be able to ride the bus to school. The school board voted Tuesday night to expand bus routes, in response to a rise in students missing class. School leaders said the families told them they fear being pulled over by the Memphis Safe Task Force and being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). "We've been seeing a lot of agencies around school areas, especially at pickup and drop-off and a lot of parents are getting scared," community organizer Sandra Pita said.
