Train cancellations: Indian Railways (IR) has cancelled the operation of over 30 trains, while seven others will be short-terminated and short-originated due to yard remodeling work at Shalimar station in West Bengal . The remodeling work is necessary to ensure safe and improve train operations. The Shalimar station falls under the administrative control of South Eastern Railway ‘s Kharagpur Division.

In a statement, the zonal railway said: “In connection with the yard remodeling work of Shalimar station in Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway, the following coaching trains will be repercussed. A total of 32 trains will remain cancelled. A total of 7 trains will be short terminated/short originated.”
