Police probing the alleged Glasgow ashes scandal are to hold a drop-in session this Friday (October 31).
Detectives are probing the alleged mishandling of cremated remains and funeral plan fraud at a Glasgow funeral director. Enquiries remain ongoing 17 months after a raid on A. Milne Independent Funeral Directors on Balornock Road in Springburn.
The site was subject to an 11-day search by police following reports of alleged missing ashes and funds used for pre-paid funeral plans. During the search, 19 urns were recovered, as exclusively reported at the time by Glasgow Live .
A further eight were handed over to Argyll and Bute Council. Operation Koine was then launched by Police Scotland, which saw three people arrested and released pending investigation in the following months.
