BEMIDJI — The United Way of Bemidji Area recently kicked off its "Shop Small, Give Big" campaign, which runs through Sunday, Nov. 9.
The campaign partners local businesses with the United Way to raise funds right at the register, a release said.
Community members are encouraged to add $1 or $5 to their purchases at participating businesses by scanning a QR code at check-out. The community member's name is then placed on a card to be displayed.
"Every dollar stays right here in our community to support local programs and initiatives through United Way of Bemidji Area," the release added.
