ROCKY HILL, Conn. — A Rocky Hill man has been charged with several crimes after police said he made violent, offensive, racist and homophobic comments about a state senator who was concerned enough to move his family from their home.

Robert Pabich, 43, of Rocky Hill, was charged with electronic stalking, intimidation based on bigotry and disorderly conduct. He was issued a $50,000 bond.

Police said Pabich left a number of comments on Sen. Matt Lesser's Facebook posts that referenced using guns, were Anti-Semitic, homophobic and threatened harm to Lesser and others. They said he also referenced the 2018 shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where 11 people were killed and two were injured. The threats were such that Lesser, who was out of town at the time
