A dietary supplement meant to support normal bladder control has been recalled because it may be contaminated with bacteria.
Purity Products has recalled MyBladder due to potential contamination with Escherichia coli O7:K1 and 1303. According to an announcement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration , “The presence of these E. coli strains may pose a risk for gastrointestinal or other infections, particularly in vulnerable individuals such as neonates, young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems.”
MyBladder was distributed in the U.S. directly to consumers through the Walmart and Amazon online websites.
The white bottles each have 60 capsules. The recalled lot number is 03042517.
The company said its routine testing detected two strains of E. coli.
