Luke Littler was prevented from taking part in this afternoon's second-to-last Players Championship tournament of 2025 after becoming caught in traffic and failing to meet the registration cut-off.

The 18 year old, who secured his maiden Players Championship victory of the campaign in PC32 earlier this month, was scheduled to participate in PC33 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan on Wednesday.

Nevertheless, the teenage prodigy announced on Instagram at 11:06am that he would no longer be taking part. He posted: "Back to bed it is, wonder who they are gonna call up," accompanied by a laughing face emoji.
