THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WALB) – As daylight saving time comes to an end this weekend, Thomasville Fire Rescue is reminding residents that it’s also the perfect time to check their smoke alarms.
Daylight saving time officially ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, when clocks should be set back one hour. While adjusting your clocks, Fire Chief Tim Connell encourages residents to take a few extra minutes to make sure smoke alarms are working properly. “As you’re moving around your home and adjusting your clocks for daylight saving time, it just makes sense to remember to change your smoke alarm batteries at the same time,” said Chief Connell. “Homes should have working smoke alarms on
