(CNN) - The Food and Drug Administration says a brand of Italian parsley is being recalled.
Pacific International Marketing is pulling nearly 500 cases of bulk Italian parsley, saying it may be contaminated with salmonella.
The product was shipped to wholesalers in Arizona, California, Florida, Minnesota, Michigan, Georgia, Ohio and Nevada in late September.
No illnesses have been reported.
Salmonella can be fatal in children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
People who bought the Pacific Italian parsley should throw it away or return it to where they bought it for a refund.
