TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A woman is in the hospital after a stabbing incident at an apartment complex in midtown Tucson earlier Wednesday morning.

According to the Tucson Police Department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex near Craycroft Road and 22nd Street on Oct. 29 around 1 a.m.

TPD officers learned that the stabbing incident was related to domestic violence.

The woman victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

TPD said the male suspect was detained.

An investigation is underway by domestic violence detectives.
