PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - A western Kentucky hospital wants to make sure everyone gets through Halloween injury-free.
According to the U.S. Product Safety Commission, Halloween-related injuries account for about 3,200 trips to the emergency room every year.
And because falls are one of the most common causes of injuries, officials at Baptist Health in Paducah say folks should beware of masks that can limit their vision and make sure costumes fit well with no dragging parts.
They also say drivers should be extra cautious this time of year, because the number of kids hit by cars sees a significant spike during Halloween.
