TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Tucson Police Department has identified the 27-year-old pedestrian who was killed after he was struck on the southeast side.
Joshua Brown, 27, died after he was hit by a vehicle.
According TPD, the crash occurred on Oct. 24 around 4:24 a.m. Operations Division East officers responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian in the 5500 block of East Valencia Road.
Upon arrival, Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
TPD said Brown was attempting to walk southbound across the eastbound lanes of East Valencia Road, outside of a marked crosswalk, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling at the speed limit of 50 MPH. The driver, a 36-year-old man, was not injured and was evaluated for impairment, but none was found.
