The Blue Ribbon program recognizes outstanding schools across the state for their academic achievements. Schools need to score in the top 15 percent of schools statewide and each subset of students must score in at least the top 40%.
The Trump Administration announced it would end the National Blue Ribbon program , arguing states are best positioned to recognize outstanding schools. That national program had recognized more than 10,000 schools since 1982 for outstanding academic achievements.
