BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A Bedford County man was charged with the rape of a 16-year-old and is now behind bars.

Dakota Brian Moyer, 19, of New Paris, was charged after state police were alerted to a report of him allegedly raping a teen girl multiple times. In addition to rape, he's facing charges of corruption of minors, sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor for sexual offenses, all of which are felonies.

In July, troopers were sent a referral indicating a report of rape was made. According to the criminal complaint, they spoke with the victim later that month. Troopers noted that the victim didn't know a report was made, but assumed they wanted to speak with her about Moyer.
