BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Thanksgiving week event returns for its second year this November.

City of Bowling Green Downtown Development Coordinator, Telia Butler, says the “Downtown Duck Drop,” a WKRP in Cincinnati-inspired event, will be held on Monday, November 24, at Noon at The Fringe at 360 E 8th Street.

Individuals can purchase ducks for a chance to win.

The event will feature 300 mini rubber docks dropped from a bucket truck. The duck that lands closest to a tiny target on the pavement wins $100 from Houchens Food Group for a Thanksgiving meal and hundreds of dollars in prizes from downtown Bowling Green businesses.

Butler says ducks can be purchased for $10, with a maximum purchase of 10 ducks. One duck equals one entry to win prizes.

Ducks can be purchased on Eventbrite .
