HOT WEEKEND INTO NEXT WEEK We’ve seen temperatures gradually rise this week, and we’re going to see the heat continue that rise. Friday might well be the hottest day we’ve seen so far, with highs in the low 90s (and above the seasonal average for a change). A week cold front will move through the area early next week and the front, along with the cloud cover, may provide some relief in the form of cooler temperatures by a degree or two. Heat index numbers start to rise a little so it will feel somewhat warmer than the actual air temperature over the weekend. But we’re still not seeing the brutal heat we saw a few weeks ago.
