While the regular season is coming to an end for women’s soccer, the Hornet women’s soccer team is looking to go into the postseason hot. Over the past weekend, they would face off against two MIAA opponents in the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers and Central Missouri Jennies. The Hornets would split the two games, beating the Lopers but losing to the Jennies to bring their record to 8-5-2.
They would start their weekend against the Lopers, and it would be a blowout in favor of the Hornets. The final score would be 5-1 with the Hornets having five different goal scorers in the match. Freshmen Ella Favot and Amy Paver, sophomores Megan Kephart and Hailey Gancarz, and graduate student Peyton Pipes would tally a goal in this matchup.
