TEXARKANA, TX (KTAL/KMSS) — The Leopards have high hopes of making playoffs for the second year in a row.

Currently tied for third in district with Jefferson, Liberty-Eylau has a 2-2 district record, winning out their final two district games would help secure their ticket to the post season. Jefferson and Sabine are the last games on the Leopards schedule, and coming off a big win over White Oak, Liberty-Eylau is feeling good.

A big credit for that win, and the success so far this season, goes to the defense. Against White Oak, the Leopards shut down the passing game, with the Roughnecks having their lowest passing game so far this season. The experienced defensive line is scrappy and relentless, forcing the run game made it easy to take care of things on the ground.
