QUINCY (WGEM) - A proposed senior center in Quincy was passed by the planning commission despite doubts over neighborhood effect.
A proposed three-story, 50-unit senior living center was hotly debated at the Quincy Planning Commission. In the end, the special building permit was granted, but not without a long discussion about its potential effects on water pressure to the surrounding area.
“Some of the residents expressed concerns about having that lower water pressure and what would this development do to their water pressure,” Quincy Planning and Development Director Jason Parrott explained.
