After seven years in Lexington, Cafe Strudel closed its doors last week for the final time. The popular restaurant was known for its beloved breakfast items like hangover hash browns, breakfast burgers and cinnamon pancakes. It opened the summer of 2018 at 309 S. Lake Dr.

Lexington residents inquired on social media over the past several days about the restaurant appearing to be closed, but with no signage present. The now-former owner Trip Turbyfill confirmed to Cola Daily that both the Lexington and West Columbia Cafe Strudel locations were sold to a local hospitality group, prompting the permanent closure in Lexington and the temporary closure of the West Columbia location, which has since reopened.
