ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — Bills running back James Cook has been chosen as AFC offensive player of the week for the second time in his career after rushing for 216 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win against the Carolina Panthers.

Cook's average of 11.4 yards per carry were the most by an NFL running back over the past seven seasons, and his 153 yards rushing in the first half was the best in four years. Ranking second in the NFL with 753 yards rushing and tied for fourth with seven touchdowns, Cook also was named AFC player of the month for September, and follows Bills quarterback Josh Allen's award after the first week of the season.

The Bills also have nominated receiver Khalil Shakir for the 2025 Salute to Service Award. Shakir's father Attiyah served 24 years in the Marines.
