No. 24 Utah is pulling out all the stops, uniform-wise, ahead of the Utes’ big game against No. 17 Cincinnati on Saturday.
On Tuesday, Utah announced its uniforms for the game — an all-black “throwback” look to correspond with the black-clad fans at Rice-Eccles Stadium in the school’s annual “dark mode” game — with a black circle-and-feather helmet.
On Wednesday, the Utes revealed their actual helmets, which were all hand-painted.
The black helmet features an artistic take on Utah’s “circle-and-feather” logo and is reminiscent of the Utes’ first-ever hand-painted helmet in 2016, only on a larger scale this time.
