NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks drifted around their records on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve made moves to boost the job market but also warned that more help isn't guaranteed.
The S&P 500 slipped 0.2% in late trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 153 points, or 0.3%, with roughly half an hour remaining in trading, and the Nasdaq composite was 0.2% higher. All three indexes are coming off their latest all-time high.
