BALTIMORE —
Hundreds of people will gather at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore to take part in the " 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's ."
Registration starts at 7 a.m. Saturday for the flagship fundraising event for the Greater Maryland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
For Jen Mayo, the walk is close to her heart. She is walking for her aunt, who died last year, and her mother, Amy, who is living with Alzheimer's disease.
"My mom's doing OK. She lives in a home in Florida," Mayo said. "Becoming part of this organization and part of the walk, it just gives you a sense of hope that it's not a horrible death sentence, that there's no medications and new research," Mayo said.
