Vice President JD Vance opened up about his relationship with President Donald Trump in a wide-ranging interview released Wednesday.

While speaking on The New York Post’s “Pod Force Once” podcast , Vance was asked by host Miranda Devine about whether he finds himself surprised with the president — after once calling himself a “Never Trump guy” in 2016, just before Trump took to the White House for his first term.

Vance said he began to know Trump “quite well” after receiving his endorsement while running for senator in 2022, as well as serving as a surrogate for the president’s 2024 campaign.
