SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall announced on Wednesday afternoon that SLC will be hosting 2026 Olympic and Paralympic watch parties.
The 2026 Olympics and Paralympics are set to be in Milan Cortina, Italy. The watch parties in SLC will take place during every day of the games. Anyone who is a Team USA fan is invited to attend.
"We want you—every one of you who is a Team USA fan like me. Whether you're from rural Utah, you live in the state of Maine, or Washington state, if you're a Team USA fan who lives in Brazil, if you're not heading to Milan Cortina, you need to be here, with us," said the mayor.
The events will be free of charge and will take place rain or shine. Mendenhall said that it is a party for everyone.
"The Olympic spirit is so catchable. Ever
