NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- New York City Public Schools' website is down due to a Microsoft Azure outage, according to officials.

Over 18,000 people reported the Microsoft Azure outage to Downdetector.com around 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The department said it's in touch with Microsoft to restore service. The Panel for Education Policy Meeting scheduled for tonight will still be livestreamed online.
