BRADENTON, Fla. ( WWSB ) – After an overwhelming show of support for the people of Jamaica following record-breaking Hurricane Melissa, Rodney’s Jamaican Grill has announced that they are collecting donations.
In a social media post, the restaurant said they are accepting unopened nonperishable food and toiletries and will then ship the items in barrels to the island.

Requested items include:
Canned meats (corned beef, Spam, sausages, etc.)
Canned vegetables
Boxes of macaroni and cheese
Bags of white rice
Bags of kidney beans
Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)
Please deliver items unopened to Rodney’s Jamaican Grill, 420 67th St. W, Bradenton.
