SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The second cold front of the week is sinking south, and our air is drying out. Winds are picking up out of the north. Small Craft Advisories are in effect through early Friday. A Rip Current Statement has also been issued and is in effect till Friday evening.
Temperatures will struggle to rise into the mid-70s today as the breezy northwest wind draws in cooler air. Dew points will fall, and humidity will drop as well.
Because the winds are stronger and coming off the Gulf waters, a few cloud streets or lower clouds could form and be blown over the area from time to time. A brief sprinkle is possible, but any rainfall will be very limited and likely measured in only hundredths of an inch. Overall, the day should be mostly to partly sunny.
