LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Racing Louisville stepped off the pitch to send love to cancer patients on Wednesday.
Hope Scarves is an international nonprofit that gives scarves to those going through cancer treatment.
Each scarf has the story of a cancer survivor on it, reminding patients that they’re not alone.
Racing Louisville helped pack kits going to breast cancer patients in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“I hope they feel the love that there is for them, not just in their own village and family, but in the community, all the way here in Louisville and that they are loved and they’re seen and their stories are just as valuable as everyone else’s story,” said Racing Louisville captain Arin Wright.
Hope Scarves has delivered more than 42,000 scarves to cancer patients in more
