PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth is dealing with a quad bruise, sources say, and he has did not practice on Wednesday. Still, the injury is not expected to keep Freiermuth out this week against the Indianapolis Colts .
The injury occurred when Freiermuth was hit low by a Packers defensive back. He limped off the field after staying down for a bit, but he returned to the game. Still, he is more sore than truly injured and is likely to play.
Freiermuth has been healthy for the entire season, but has been in-and-out of the lineup in a significant way as the Steelers balance their tight end room.
He had a huge game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but was back to third in the pecking order for tight end snaps behind Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington on Sunda
