BILLINGS, Mont. - The Billings Fire Department Fire Station 5 was recently repainted thanks to Lowe's Hometowns project.
The repainting was done as part of a $280,000 grant to remodel Station 5, and showcased at a community event on Tuesday evening.
"We were honored to have Mayor Bill Cole and Fire Chief Hoppel share words of appreciation during today’s event, recognizing the collaboration between Lowe’s, volunteers, and our firefighters," BFD wrote on social media.
BFD's Station 5 remodel is just one small part of the larger nationwide project spearheaded by Lowe's.
"Lowe’s Hometowns is our five-year, $100 million commitment to restore and revitalize community spaces across the country and part of Lowe’s commitment to deliver 10 million square feet of impact this year," according to
